Gratitude and Community Giving this Holiday Season

=Every year, November marks the beginning of the holiday season, a time when many people in need are struggling. They may not be able to provide for their families the way they want during holidays like Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or any other celebration they observe.
This year is especially challenging due to the government shutdown. Although SNAP benefits for those in need have been approved, only half of the funding will be distributed. Unfortunately, it will take several months for these funds to reach families due to disruptions in government processes.
As a result, the holiday months will be even more difficult for people in our communities—our very own neighbors—who are working to put food on the table for their children, buy gifts, and simply survive. It is crucial to consider how we can support people in need during this holiday season. We can help by donating to local food banks, supporting charitable thrift shops, and ensuring that necessary resources are reaching those who require assistance. Even small contributions can make a difference.
These individuals are our neighbors; they are part of our community. By being generous and sharing with others, we strengthen our community, and in return, it fosters gratitude and joy for everyone involved.
Please join me in thinking about how you can support the members of our community this holiday season.
