Nancy Dilts brings together her passions – personal style, positive body image, and the environment – to help her clients feel great about how they look, using an economically and environmentally sustainable approach at Nancy Dilts Wardrobe Consulting.
I spent close to 20 years in environmental education and outreach where everything about my work involved raising awareness about environmental issues and teaching about how our behaviors impact the environment. I have been practicing sustainable consumerism with new-to-you shopping at consignment stores for years – not only because I LOVE high-quality clothing, but also because shopping consignment significantly reduces your impact on the environment. Plus, at consignment stores, you can get that high-quality clothing – designer/top brand garments that will last – at a fraction of the cost.
I have had my own journey in finding my personal style and realizing that how you look impacts how you feel. Launching my business as a wardrobe consultant was the culmination of gaining the upper hand in a lifelong battle with body image. I continue that work with positive body image and always will, but now have a much clearer understanding of the insidiousness of shame and the power of self-love.
I feel privileged to support others in their body image journeys. I never tire of working to help people feel better overall by feeling great about how they look, and love the thrill of clients embracing their true selves – inside and out – and expressing themselves with personal style. I work with people of all genders and identities in person in the Twin Cities metro region as well as virtually.
In addition to my services in personal styling, wardrobe consults, and personal shopping, I am available for speaking about the power of intentional dressing, executive presence, developing personal style, creating a more functional wardrobe, dressing for work and other specific style topics, and practicing sustainable consumerism.
Nancy lives in St. Paul, Minnesota, with her husband, young adult daughter, and golden retriever puppy and is certain she will one day find a way to incorporate her other passion – chocolate – into her business model.
Sara Darst – Sustainable Wardrobe Stylist
I am Sara, your Personal Stylist.
I bring a fresh and effortless European approach to personal styling. Inspired by my roots, travels, and love for timeless fashion, I help (mostly) women express their individuality with confidence and elegance. My style blends classic silhouettes with modern touches, and a hint of fun. Whether shopping new or secondhand, I specialize in creating elevated, wearable looks with that signature European flair.
If you are on a journey of self-discovery, constantly learning new things about who you are, what you value, and how you want to show up in the world, then this is the place for you. Change doesn’t scare you and you feel ready to let your style reflect the woman that you are becoming. You are open-minded and curious, eager to explore new style options that align with your confidence, authenticity, and growth, and want your outer world to mirror your vibrant inner world.
I grew up in a small coastal town in Croatia, where shopping options were limited, but creativity and social life were abundant. Some of my fondest childhood memories are family trips to Italy, especially wandering the streets of Trieste, feeling alive and inspired by the energy, style, and culture around me. My mother, a talented seamstress with an incredible eye for style, introduced me to the world of style early on. That influence shaped me deeply and so did my love for organization. From styling outfits to arranging closets, I’ve always believed in creating beauty through both self-expression and structure.
In 2015, I moved to Ireland in search of greater opportunities and a better life. I graduated from the “Fashion industry” course from Dublin College, Sallynoggin, the “Styling and image consulting” course from Irish Style Institute, and the “Fashion buying and merchandising” course from CMI, while gaining hands-on experience working in retail for Irish brands and local fashion shows.
I also contributed as a Personal Stylist during fashion shows at FWMN (Fashion Week Minnesota). I helped organize and work behind the scenes for the annual Planned Parenthood fashion show in Minneapolis. Since then, I’ve never stopped learning; continually expanding my skills through courses, workshops, and events that fuel my curiosity and growth.
When I’m not styling, you’ll find me networking, baking healthy meals and desserts, staying active, enjoying the outdoors, or spending summer days at the beach. I believe that self-care is the best form of love you can give to yourself and others.
Giving back is also close to my heart, and I’m always looking for ways to volunteer and help others. I volunteer for Dress for Success Twin Cities, where I create Confidence Kits for our clients. I am also a Personal Stylist at the Arc’s Value Village in Bloomington and Soul a Wear consignment store in West Saint Paul.
Styling is more than just what I do- it’s who I am. And through it, I’m here to help others feel confident, expressive, and connected to their best selves, by incorporating more of the European style in their everyday life.
Let’s enhance your unique style today!
